Dogs: Strays and Impoundments:
Dog Control is responsible for local enforcement of NYS Ag & Markets Law
(Article 7) and the Town’s local dog control code. The DCO will respond to
such dog control issues as dogs running at large, dangerous dogs and dog
bites within 24 hours. When a dog is seized or impounded for violations of
the NYS Ag & Markets Law or Town Code, the DCO will file a “Dog Seizure and
Disposition” report with the Town Clerk’s Office and will notify and
instruct dog owners to pay their dog’s impoundment/housing fees to the Town
Clerk at the Town Office, 6 Michigan St, Hudson Falls, NY, and show proof of
a valid license and rabies shot prior to release of the dog. The impounded
or seized dog will be housed at the Countryside Boarding and Grooming, 270
Queensbury Avenue, Queensbury, NY, (518) 793-7083.

Please bring proof of rabies vaccination and if applicable a
neutering/spaying certificate, to the Clerk’s office where you will complete
an application and pay a small fee. A tag will be issued which, along with
the rabies tag, must be worn on your dog’s collar and all times. It is also
recommended that a personal ID tag with a phone number also be worn for easy
identification should your dog become lost. Contact: Town of Kingsbury Town
